My Turkey Experience Pt. 2!!!

As I begin to write this update I am presently on a bus leaving the ancient city of Ephesus. In between our ministry commitments we have taken 2 days to rest and decided to go today to Ephesus! It was such great time seeing the ancient city and being aware thatwe were in a place where the Hoy Spirit had moved powerfully during Paul’s ministry, so that thousands of witchcraft books wereburned and all of Asia, that is modern-day Turkey down to Syria – ish, heard the word of God! Handkerchiefs were put in contact with Paul’s skin and they were used to heal the sick! Acts 19 records that God performed great miracles through the hands of Paul!

We finished the “Mega-Burn” in Antalya! Over 100 hours of continual worship and prayer of which our team helped to facilitate and participate in. We are in Izmir and will be praying with some believers before we go to a conference where we will be ministering to youth!

This whole trip has been an amazing experience! Knowing the little bit of Turkish that I know and many from the team also having studied before coming has helped us to engage with the culture as we have been able to talk a little with people that we have met on the streets and with young turkish believers. Being able to engage better with the culture has given us a greater sense of purpose and fulfillment, which has been very helpful for our hearts. Last year, being hindered by the language barrier when I went to Turkey, I often questioned why I was there and if my ministry there was important. Praise God, it was important and God did a lot through our worship, praise, intercession and ministry to believers that are laying down their lives to serve the Turkish people! However again, being able to communicate with the people has been such a blessing to my heart.

How The Lord moved in Antalya also was an encouraging experience! many were healed on the streets and in the church! There was such a grace to evangelize and see God move!!! The wisdom of night and day prayer was being justified! As praises were going up,truly blesings were coming down on the people of Antalya! I have been able to keep in touch with some of the ones that experienced The Lord’s power on the streets through Facebook! I hope for some of those to be continuing friendships and even family as they come to believe in Jesus Christ! One friend that I am not sure if he is yet a believer thanked me in a message for praying for him!

The harvest is ripe! “Lord! Send Laborers!!!” Seeing thousands and thousands of people every day as I walk through the streets has been gripping my heart recognizing that the vast majority of them do not know Jesus, maybe one or two had a dream and are secretly following The Lord but most have no idea! And it’s not just in Turkey but all over the world and even in the United States!

Izmir, the city we are in, is ancient Smyrna! One of the Seven Churches addressed in the Book of Revelation, and a church that was not rebuked by Jesus in His address!

“And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, ‘These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life: “I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan. Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.” ’ (Revelation 2:8-11 NKJV)

A great promise was given to those who overcome in this church!

I will again update at a later time! Please continue to pray for us that The Lord would open a door for His Word!

…To be continued…
