Burn Graduation!!!

The 4 and-a-half month, full-time residential internship that I have been helping run in Fredericksburg came to a close for the interns today at 11am; though the leaders will be cleaning and debriefing for the next week. The preparation for this graduation and the closing of this past season was great and exhausting, but it was so worth it.

The Burn Internship has been a blessing to many who have participated in it. Transformation, a normal occurrence when in the presence of the Lord, is what this group experienced in the past 4.5 months. One thing that I enjoyed about this group was the hunger and expectation that I saw in them in the different classes. As I taught them, often I could feel their hunger pulling on the Word from which I was teaching. We wondered if some of them would make it through the internship and praise God they did. What a great group!

What now? As summer is here and the internship work is wrapping up I am seeking the Lord on how I am to serve Him for the next 2 months. I seek what the Lord is doing that I may step into it. I will be speaking at a youth group the 21st of June and at a youth retreat from the 12th – 14th of July. His plan will continue to unfold as I walk forward for “the steps of the righteous are ordered of the Lord.” God is Good!
